You change like the wind, my dear,

|Download or Stream the Audio of this Poem|

Poem by Marc Aupiais

You change like the wind, my dear,
Unseen, like the night breeze,
You change inside, my dear,
Hidden from the world,
Mother leopard with her cubs,

You are the arctic storm, my dear,
You send chills into my veins, and heart,
You sent daggers into my soul,

And you eat my heart, like an ice cream dish,
And drink my blood, as though it were wine,

You’ve destroyed my hope with any other, my dear,
I cannot escape the chain of your love, your presence,
I want only you, my dear, dearer, dearest of all, things there are,

I want you, alone, my dear,
Whatever comes, as your night breeze blows
As the moon hardly lights the way,
And you whisper like the wind and water,

More real than any other in my life,
You set my soul on ice, yours for life!

I only wanted you... to know, how you hurt me too

Poem by Marc Aupiais

I only wanted you to know, as I near daily do,
How it hurts me when you do, when my tired guilt ensue,

Yes, though it hurt me, what ensued,
Though I felt pain in hurting you,
You took my pain in two,
And took pleasure in the harm I'd do.

You took joy in my revenge,
You took what hurt me and too revanche!
And though I am racked,
tracking grief,

You enjoyed all my wrong,
And pleasured in my broken, painful, revenging sins!
Though I thought, I was in revenge,
It was really you who controlled it all,

And I , not you were schooled,
My revenge, turned in love,
I could never bare to lose, you,
Yet, powerless, I always lose my soul,

And, what revenge have I,
When I only want your good!

For to hurt you, is to hurt myself,
It seems though it's me I hurt,

Though revenge cost my soul,
Living water, joy of my heart,
You always know my ways,

You hide your hurt!

Do you think, love!?

Poem by Marc Aupiais

Do you think, truly, love,
That I, That I, would ever leave you,
That I would not be true, 'til the world bids us all adieu

Too true, is my love for you,
None could boo, or soothe me away, from you,
My dear, be you siren or harpy, or bygone, be be you gorgon,
Or Venus, be you death or life or,
both combined in stealth!

I am yours, body and soul,
So far as I can give,
That which is not God's alone!

My all is yours, as my covenant did pledge,
That covenant in my dreams, in my heart!

You are not fashion or changing trend,
You are the style of my soul,
My watering hole,
For you refresh my soul,
In my teeth or like a mole,

I would never leave you,
I never would,
Nor even if one could,

Leave the siren of life,
The arrow of love,
The monster of my dear,
vehemency, in the storm that,
dynamism, of energetic wrath,
and love,

Which my soul loves:

Is you!
